As friendships are tested, will the girls stand united when Bakunawa rises? Features War is imminent once again, but this time, the heroes are split between sides. Merga, a water dragon from Avalice's oldest and deadliest war, has been freed from her crystal prison as a consequence of the Kingdom Stone's destruction. I can't imagine a Time Attack mode would be too difficult to implement.About This Game Join the heroes of Avalice as they face their greatest challenge yet! An ancient terror has emerged from the depths of the ocean. Sonic Rush had an overworld for accessing the stages (which FP2's seems to have some similarities to albeit on a much bigger scale) but that game also had a Time Attack mode. Whereas here you seem to already need a file just to be able to load to access the overworld and speedrun through stages. The first game had the Time Attack mode accessible through the main menu so you could very quickly load a stage and go fast. I can see the incorporation of the hubworld and subsequently many different game modes being accessible through that rather than the main menu as a reason why everything could be oversaturated. but not fast enough" that's fine, in one line you're basically establishing to new and returning players that as far as she's concerned nothing is faster than her, but the whole part afterward of "Oh no, Carol" does have a bit of a random sudden change of tone to it, perhaps because at that point she's the only character with actual spoken dialogue in the scene so that might be it. I don't think the dialogue in Lilac's opening scene is particularly great and doesn't flow well imo, when she says "That thing's pretty fast. I'm among the crowd that is still waiting on the console release but I have seen about the first four to six levels or so. I still really like FP2 and will come back to it many many times, but probably on Classic Mode with Milla. each character are presented with different details to the story, something that FP2 fails to do because 90% of the time, cutscene dialogue is re-used, and because the game is like 2x longer than FP1, seeing the same cutscene again and again is tiresome.įP2 has better gameplay, but also feels really copy and pasted. Oh but you see, I love Megaman ZX, and that game have 2 protagonists that goes basically through the same adventure BUT. FP2 makes you play eeeeevery stage with everyone no matter the story contition, something that FP1 didn't do, we had exclusive stages there and it made stuff way more exciting, since you get to reallly see each characters perspective even if it was for only one stage per character, the game is short enough that make those moments really shine. I wouldn't feel like this if playing as each character brought more to the table, other than the fact that you get like, 3 different cutscenes with each character (in case of Carol, a quite different second half), and the different move sets that each character has. if you did this with one character, you're going to do the same with the rest. In FP2, collectibles are hidden in generic spots, because everyone needs to reach it somehow, so originality is out the window for FP2 in that department.Īnd it's the same for the Museum, Time Capsules, purchasable items. "You got this one with Carol? Nice! Go get the same one with Milla! And Lilac! And Neera!" While in the first game, you had 10 cards for each stage before Final Dreadnought 1~4 and your progress is shared between characters, so you had incentive to explore the stages in many different ways with multiple characters. The same goes for collectibles like music vinyls for each stage. Time attacks are the same for all characters, if you gotta beat Dragon Valley under 5 minutes, you gotta do that with all characters, while in the first game you only had to do it once with the character you like, the rest is optional. This is just my opinion but FP2 felt really "copy and pasted" in comparison to FP1, for example: Especially if you go for 100% like I did for both. But I found the first game not only a better experience in general, but also feels more complete.
